Canada approves all Steviol Glycosides derived from stevia as sweeteners

According to Health Canada's website, on August 31, Health Canada issued a notice to update the "List of Food Sweeteners", approving all steviol glycosides derived from stevia as sweeteners for a range of foods.

It is understood that previously, Canada has approved a variety of steviol glycosides derived from stevia, and the total amount of steviol glycosides must be guaranteed not less than 95% during application.

After a risk assessment, Health Canada believes that steviol glycosides are used in a range of foods without a safety risk, so the "List of Food Sweeteners" is updated to approve all steviol glycosides from Stevia as sweeteners for a range of foods.
